Hey, I'm Stephanie, and embodiment is my whole jam. Living in a human body is such a gift and I'm here to celebrate! You can often find me outdoors on some kind of toy (dirt bike, One Wheel, skis, snowmobile . . . ) I love the sun on my face and fresh air in my lungs. In my professional life I work as a dietitian and private practice owner specializing in eating disorder recovery. It's such an honor to have my clients' trust as they work towards healing their relationships with food and body. And it's a joy and privilege to be able to do such meaningful work.
My teaching style varies depending on the class format and the energy of the students. I love a good power vinyasa class with a focus on movement and strength to help students ground into their intuition. I also value the benefits of breathwork, meditation, gentle movement, and especially rest.
My favorite pose has always been Humble Warrior. First, it feels good, and who doesn't love that? It's also how I try to approach life - strength, power and confidence grounded in gratitude and humility. If you've practiced with me and wonder why I call this pose so often, now you know!
Like so many folks, I was initially drawn to yoga for stress relief. Over the years I've found it to be so much more: a source of healing, an opportunity to better understand myself, a supportive and uplifting community. I believe in the power of somatic experiencing (feeling into the body) both for my own wellbeing and for supporting my clients in their recovery.
